THE JOY OF SETS 1 to 4 day workshop Sharyn’s favorite part of the entire quilt making process is when she finally has enough blocks that she gets to go to the flannel wall and design a quilt. Let her enthusiasm and encouragement help you to find the perfect setting for your blocks. No problem is too big or too small. Bring your blocks and come be prepared to have fun. This workshop is available in a 1, 2, 3, or 4 day format. In the one day workshop there will be no sewing, but lots of thought provoking, inspiration, and problem solving. GLORIFIED NINE PATCH
6-hour workshop
This delightful old pattern, also known as The Improved Nine Patch, is a great way to be introduced to curved seam construction. The original pattern was created by an all-over construction technique similar to the Double Wedding Ring. I've altered the construction a bit, so that we will be making individual blocks. The block structure not only opens up the design and setting opportunities, but is much easier. See The Art of Classic Quiltmaking, p.193, for another example. ($7.50 supply fee for templates)

Are you looking for a fun, fast, easy new quilt to make? Then this workshop is for you. Inspired by the common Rail Fence pattern-on-a-skew the resulting blocks look very much like the backgammon game board. You don't need to be a game player to enjoy this quilt.
